Variety Wrapper (Manual Operation)

 Mode of operation

The machine operator would pull the required amount of film from the roll to cover the items being shrink wrapped.  The pack is the centralized on the seal table area close to the sealbar  where after a seal is made. The pivot sealbar is pressed down and the film is sealed and cut behint the product. The product is now sealed in a loose sleeve of film and the operator now transfers the product onto the shrink tunnel conveyor. The pack then transfers through the heat chamber where the final shrink is effected.

Mode of operation

The operator hand collates the products in front of the pusher assembly and activates a switch. A “U” pusher and guide rails are used for unsupported packs.

The pack is transferred through the seal bar area onto the ‘dead plate’

The seal bar is then energised sealing the pack in a loose sleeve of polyethylene shrink film. When the operation is repeated, the next pack pushes the previously sealed pack off the ‘dead plate’, onto the shrink tunnel conveyor.

The pack then passes through the heat chamber, where the final shrink is affected. On exiting the heat chamber, the pack passes under a high speed after cooling fan effecting the final tightening of the pack, giving a stable and aesthetically pleasing product.
